Italy – Tyler Farrar of the Garmin-Transitions team unleashed a powerful sprint on his Felt F1 team bike to win his second stage of the 2010 Giro d’Italia in Bitonto, Italy, on Tuesday.

Farrar was set up perfectly by his Garmin-Transitions teammates, including his main lead-out man Julian Dean. And once he was in position, the American proved once again why he’s currently the fastest man in the world. Farrar flew past Fabio Sabatini (2nd), Robbie McEwen (4th) and Robert Forster (fifth) to win Stage 10, a 230km race from Avelino to Bitonto. Dean finished third, putting two Garmin-Transitions riders on the podium.

“I have the strongest team in the world for leading me out, it makes it easier for winning,” Farrar told Cyclingnews.com.

With the win, Farrar also extended his lead in the points classification.
