Project London Shatters U.S. Track Record

Guadalajara, Mexico — Three American riders from the Felt-sponsored
Project London track program scored the silver medal at Monday’s
Team Sprint event at the
Pan American Games in Mexico. The U.S. squad of
Michael Blatchford, Dean Tracy and
Jimmy Watkins rode their
Felt TK1 bikes to second place behind the team from Venezuela, setting a new U.S. record in the team sprint.
The U.S. team posted a time of
44.036, eclipsing the old record and earning the silver medal.
Project London is an elite track team consisting of five American track athletes focused on elite international competition and next year's
Olympic Games in London.
Track competition at the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara continues through Thursday.
