Staff Accountant

Location: Irvine, California
 
This position will support all accounting tasks from reconciliations to periodic reporting. The position reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Update daily cash balances report
  • Complete weekly and monthly bank borrowing base reports
  • Calculate and input approximately 25 monthly journal entries relating to prepaids, accruals and amortizations for monthly
  • Close and execute other monthly close activities
  • Input trial balance into monthly financial statement templates
  • Download, distribute, code, audit and input monthly corporate credit card activity
  • Create weekly accounts payable requirements report
  • Serve as backup to AR & AP functions
  • Calculate and complete weekly bank actual activity report
  • Reconcile and adjust bank statements, prepaids, other assets and various liability accounts
  • Reconcile and adjust intercompany accounts with sister companies
  • Complete other numerous schedules as requested to support various bank and independent audits
  • Other duties may be added as required.

Qualifications

  • Four year degree in or pursing a four year degree in Accounting
  • General ledger account reconciliation experience
  • Comfortable working with accounting system software
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills

Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Irvine, California
 
This position will combine functions that involve both traditional purchasing duties and coordination of product management aspects of the Felt’s parts and accessories program.

Responsibilities

  • Input, maintain and update item data.
  • Work with the purchasing manager to place bicycle and accessory purchase orders with both domestic and overseas vendors.
  • Work with various departments in the company to place sample and other purchase orders with both domestic and overseas vendors.
  • Follow up with vendors on all purchase orders to confirm quantity, pricing and delivery dates. Update information as required.
  • Coordinate shipments from the vendor warehouses to Felt’s warehouse. This also includes making sure that documents are received by vendors in a timely manner and passed to the appropriate departments and brokers to facilitate clearing shipments through US Customs.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reports to management as required.
  • Daily communication with parts makers and Asian trading company.
  • Other duties may be added as required.

Qualifications

  • Bicycle industry experience.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent computer skills. Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills.

Road Bike Product Manager

Location: Irvine, California

Felt Bicycles is currently accepting applicants for the position of Road Product Manager. Felt’s skinny tire range, including Road, Triathlon, Track and Cyclocross models continues to expand, requiring a second product manager to fulfill needs. Have you held a product management position in the bicycle industry for 5 years or more? Are you detail-oriented, proficient at Excel and consider yourself a bike geek? Are you able to travel often and occasionally give presentations to large groups? If you love all things skinny tire, are able to create bicycle BOM’s and enjoy working in a team environment, you may be a perfect fit to join our Product Team in Southern California.

Responsibilities

  • Market research and competitive analysis.
  • Defining goals and objectives for the category.
  • Interface with Felt Sales to determine market needs.
  • Interface with Felt Creative to develop cosmetic needs.
  • Interface with Felt Engineering to develop frames and custom components.
  • Interface with other PM’s to share ideas and identify common goals.
  • Maintain factory spec sheets (Excel)
  • Maintain marketing/catalog spec sheets (Excel).
  • Work with assemblers in Asia to bring products to manufacturability.
  • Negotiate with parts makers and assemblers in Asia to meet market prices.
  • Present product lines at sales meetings both domestically and abroad.

Travel

  • Taiwan – Normally three to five trips per year, including Taichung Bike Week, Taipei Bicycle Show, photoshoot and additional developmental trips as needed.
  • Germany - European distributor sales meeting, usually late spring or early summer.
  • Eurobike Show
  • Possibilities for China, Vietnam and Cambodia travel.

Schedule:

  • M-F 8-5pm are official office hours.
  • As a salaried position, it requires a do-whatever-it takes mentality and work ethic. Some weekend time and evening time may be required due to workload and varied time-zones.

Graphic Design Intern

As a graphic design intern at Felt Bicycles, you will be responsible for working with the marketing team to help expand upon the Felt brand family. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support the Marketing Team with designing assets for a broad range of design projects including advertisements, photo editing, press kits, sales collateral and brochures. We are looking for saavy designers to create compelling print and digital content. The Graphic Design Intern will receive plenty of hands-on experience and opportunities to apply their creative and technical design skills to both create, and learn. 

Responsibilities

  • Proficient with Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Demonstrate a solid sense of design, layout, branding and typography
  • Experience with photo color correction and photo resizing for web and print
  • Illustration skills are a plus
  • Willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to produce results independently and in a team environment
  • Front-end web and interactive experience is a plus
  • Experience with Wordpress is preferred
  • Either an online or PDF portfolio showcasing your work
  • Bike Industry knowledge and a passion for riding is a preferred but not a must
  • Must be pursuing a degree in graphic design or visual communication

Industrial Designer / Design Engineer

Location: Irvine, California

Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Bicycle Industry or similar consumer Product Design is required. Sorry, no recent graduates at this time.
  • Candidates should have a good idea of advanced manufacturing processes, and the ability to work within the constraints of current processes.
  • CAD modeling in Solidworks is required and Advanced Surface modeling is a plus.
