Another Top-Five for Farrar at Tour

France – Garmin-Slipstream sprinter Tyler Farrar finished fourth in Stage 5 of the Tour de France on Wednesday. The 25-year-old American contested the final sprint in the 196-kilometer stage from Le Cap d’Agde to Perpignan.

Farrar is now third overall, behind Brit Mark Cavendish and Norwegian Thor Hushovd, in the points standings for the green jersey.

After five days of racing, Garmin-Slipstream has three riders in the top-10 overall. Bradley Wiggins, Dave Zabriskie and David Millar sit sixth, ninth and tenth overall, and the team’s top GC threat Christian Vande Velde is 12th, just 1:16 behind overall race leader Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland.
