— Amanda Carey
of the Kenda-Felt
team extended her win streak
in the National Ultra Endurance Series
, scoring a big win in Sunday’s Lumberjack 100 by a crushing margin of more than 28 minutes.
Carey said she crashed just 30 minutes into the 100-mile race that climbs nearly 10,000 feet and had to recover quickly. “I hit a patch of really slick dry leaves,” she said.
After that it was smooth sailing for the Idaho resident, who rode her Felt Nine
to a finishing time of 7:42:35. It was her third consecutive win at the Lumberjack 100 and helped her extend her lead in the National Ultra Endurance Series.
