Farrar wins Stage 3 of Tirreno-Adriatico!!

anta Croce sull'Arno, ITA - Aboard his Felt F1 Sprint, Garmin/Slipstream’s Tyler Farrar won today’s 166K Stage 3 of the prestigious 44th edition of the 7-day Tirreno-Adriatico.  Tyler took the sprint ahead of a world-class field including Mark Cavendish, Robbie McEwen and Tom Boonen. It is Tyler’s biggest career win to date and another tremendous victory for Garmin in ’09.  "My condition is good and I have a very strong team here. (Julian) Dean and the others did a huge amount of work for me. ... It's my most important win to date."

The stage also included a key 3-man break which included Tyler's teammate Will Frischkorn who along with his two breakaway companions build a lead of over 5 minutes but were eventually caught with just about 9.5K to go.  From there is was a long high-speed build up to the line.

Tyler's win is the second major victory this week by the team which saw Christian Vande Velde win 2 days ago in Paris-Nice.
