Felt Ötztal X-Bionic MTB team adds more talent for 2010

Tuesday, November 17, 2009
The Felt Ötztal X-Bionic World Cup mountain bike team continues to sign top cross-country talent as it prepares for its debut in 2010. On Wednesday the team announced the signing of German Manfred Reis, one of the top young talents in Europe.
Reis (pictured below) joins four other riders named to the team so far: Slovenian champion Blaza Klemencic (pictured left), French Olympian Sabrina Enaux, German marathon champion Adelheid Morath and the current Austrian men’s Under-23 champion Simon Scheiber.
Reis, who goes by the name “Manny,” made history last year when, at 18, he became the youngest rider to ever win the German U-23 XC title. With Reis and Scheiber, the Felt-sponsored squad has two of the top up-and-coming male racers in Europe. Both are focused on trying to make the Olympic Games in 2012.

The three women who will represent the Felt Ötztal X-Bionic team in 2010 also have Olympic aspirations, and will make Felt a contender at all of the sport’s marquee events including World Cup races and World Championships.

Stay tuned for more news to come as the new Felt Ötztal X-Bionic team continues to take shape for 2010.
