Los Angeles — Two-time world champion Sarah Hammer piloted her Felt track bike to another national title at the 2009 USA Cycling National Championships on Thursday. Hammer was part of the winning women’s team pursuit squad, which set a new national record on the velodrome at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.
Hammer, Dotsie Bausch and Kimberly Geist worked together to post a time of 3:34.114, beating the old record of 3:34.783, which Hammer was also a part of in 2007.
The women’s team pursuit was one of six events taking place on Day 2 of the National Championships. In addition to Hammer, Felt was also represented in the Men’s Scratch Race when Daniel Holloway (Felt-Holowesko Partners) and Jake Duehring (Felt Factory) finished third and fourth.
