multisport athlete Josiah Middaugh
posted a strong top-five finish
at the XTERRA World Championships
in Maui, Sunday. Middaugh, a 33-year-old from Vail, Colorado, was the top American finisher in fourth
, just over two minutes behind Austrian winner Michael Weiss.
Middaugh, who won the XTERRA Mountain Championship earlier this summer in Beaver Creek, Colorado, used his Felt Edict

Middaugh was the only American to finish in the top-10. His fellow American and seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong finished 23rd.
