Sunday, August 29, 2010
New York Blaza Klemencic of the Felt Otztal X-Bionic mountain bike team finished the 2010 UCI MTB World Cup Series on a high note, scoring a fourth-place finish at the finals on Saturday in Windham, New York. The Slovenian rode her Felt Six to her best World Cup finish of the year.

The World Cup finals, the first mountain bike World Cup in the U.S. in five years, were held near Albany, New York, one week before the World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec, Canada.

The 30-year-old Klemencic showed she’s in great form and a real contender for a medal at next week’s Worlds Championships. She battled to her strong fourth place finish and eventually finished the five-lap race 3:17 behind Canadian Catharine Pendrel, who won the finals and took the overall. Klemenic ended up 18th overall in the final World Cup standings.
