Garmin-Slipstream rider Bradley Wiggins put in a crushing performance to win the British Time Trial Championship on his Felt DA team bike on Sunday. Wiggins clocked a time of 1:02:15 in the three-lap race in Buckinghamshire, more than two minutes faster than second-place finisher Michael Hutchinson.
For Wiggins, a winner of three Olympic gold medals and this year’s fourth-place overall finisher at the Tour de France, it was a first-ever British TT title. He averaged over 30 mph in the 31.2-mile course.
Wiggins joins Canadian Svein Tuft and American Dave Zabriskie as the latest National Champion from Garmin-Slipstream. That makes three National TT Championships—the U.S., Canada and now Great Britain—for Felt!
