The Netherlands — Marcel Kittel of the Argos-Shimano team won his second stage of the 2012 Eneco Tour Thursday, outsprinting Belgian Jurgen Roelandts and Italian Giacomo Nizzolo to win Stage 4 in Bergen op Zoom.
The 24-year-old Kittel credited his teammates for delivering him to the line in the 213km race. They helped chase down a six-man breakaway in the final 10km, and then controlled the finish so Kittle could deliver the win on his Felt F1 team bike.
“It’s just incredible what they do for me,” Kittel told Cyclingnews.com. “They support me 100 percent. They bring bottles, they close down the breakaways. I cannot thank them enough.”
Inside the final kilometer, Kittel’s teammates Tom Veelers and John Degenkolb led him out, and the German speedster took it from there.
