Felt cyclocross riders scored top results around the world this past weekend including 29 year old Swiss rider Simon Zahner of EKZ Racing. Zahner scored top ten at the Tabor, Czech Republic UCI World Cup Cyclocross on Sunday, October 21. Simon was a scant 54 seconds out of first place in 10th among the top names in world class UCI cyclocross.
Felt rider Chris Jackson of Castex Racing took a sensational 2nd place at Day 1 of the LA Bike Fest Spooky Cross race at Fairplex Park in Pomona, California. Jackson, a seasoned cyclocross rider, made an unusual error when he raised his hands early after a wild bell lap and was popped at the line by Mike Sherer who was judged the winner by finish line cameras with a scant three-tenths of a second margin.
The Felt riding Keough brothers, Jesse and Nick, turned in two days of top results at Round 3 and 4 of the 2012 Downeast Cyclocross Weekend in New Glouchester, Maine. The Saturday, October 20 round 3 race saw Jesse Keough nail an 8th place finish in the UCI Cat 2 race with brother Nick in tow at 11th place. Fast forward to Round 4 on Sunday, October 21 and the Keough brothers were back in action at the front of the race with Jesse once again leading the pair into 10th place and brother Nick Keough softening to a 19th place overall.
