Felt Bicycles is proud to take part in this years SoCal High School Mountain Bike League. This past weekend was the first race at Vail Lake Resort, in beautiful Temecula, California. The field was stacked with young riders from across the Southland all battling for that top step. After this weekend events, two things stand true: High School MTB racing is a blast, and we are stoked to be involved!
Michael Quileza (a.k.a. “Q”), Felt Bicycles demo extraordinaire, was on hand Saturday with his fresh new Sprinter van and a fleet of Nine Ones and Edict Nine Ones for everyone to ride. Coupled with a some of our favorite mountain bikes on display, our booth was hopping with racers and their families all weekend long. Take a look at some of the images from the event:
The registration tent on Saturday, before opening to racers.
The line for registration about five minutes after opening Sunday morning. Over 350 Racers!
A couple of parents standing at the Felt Sprint Zone.
And the view of the finish line from the end of the Sprint Zone.
Overall, the weekend was quite an eye opener. The Felt Marketing crew has worked their fair share of events in the past, but nothing as pumped up as High School MTB Racing. NICA is absolutely harboring the future of the sport and the industry, and we are happy to be on board. We’ll be out with a fresh new booth at the next race in Riverside, California in two weeks, so mark your calendars and come on out!
