The Pro’s Closet and Stan’s NoTubes have teamed up to form the The Pro’s Closet / Stan’s NoTubes Pro Mountain Bike Team. Powerhouse cross country riders, Ryan and Mitch, will lead the team throughout the US Pro XCT and US Cup Pro Series races. Both Ryan and Mitch had excellent seasons in 2013, with multiple top 5 Pro XCT finishes and a 4th place overall finishes in the Pro XCT Series in 2013.“I am honored to join forces with Drew and Mitch. I have some lofty goals for 2014 and I am confident the new team and excellent equipment are exactly what I need to accomplish them”, said Woodall.
Leading the ultra-endurance side of the team, Drew will be continuing his focus on the NUE series, and select ultra-endurance and stage races such as the Transylvania Epic Stage Race, and Breck Epic Stage Race for 2014.
The Pro’s Closet – Stan’s NoTubes Pro Mountain Bike team will be racing on Felt Bicycle’s new 2014 Felt Edict FRD and Felt Nine FRD frames. Felt Sport’s Marketing Director, Doug Martin, had this to say about the team, “We were very excited to see the formation of this new team including Mitch, Drew and Ryan–three athletes we know quite well and all of whom we consider Felt family. Each is a huge talent and we have great respect for all of them. With the skill to carry it in place, this new program fits perfectly into Felt’s ongoing commitment to the sport–we cannot wait to get going.”
Their Felt bikes will be spec’d with Stan’s No Tubes wheels, FOX suspension, Xpedo Pedals, Shimano drivetrain, brakes and Pro cockpit, Kenda Tires and Velo saddles and grips. Their clothing is a collaboration between Voler and TwinSix and they will be using Lake Cycling shoes. “I couldn’t be more happy with the support and sponsors that we have got lined up. We are working with some of the best companies in the business and will have the sickest bikes out there”, said Mitch who has been coordinating sponsorship for the team.
In addition to racing, the team will have a focus on youth development. Mitch will continue to work with the Clif Bar Development Cross Team and other Boulder Junior Cycling aimed at developing youth riders while Drew will continue his presence with his newly formed junior team, Drew Edsall’s Dirt DEVO. Drew had this to say, “I am ecstatic to be more involved with junior development in 2014. The new team is a small stepping stone to helping build the next generation of riders. I am looking forward to seeing what this leads to in the near future.”
They will be starting the season with team camp in Boulder, CO at the end of February followed with the Mellow Johnny’s Pro XCT UCI at the beginning of March.
