Well our adventure in Colorado has come to an end, so now is the perfect time to tell the tale of adventure, excitement, and mountain biking.
Some of Southern Utah’s Epic Landscape; We Were Surrounded by Scenery Like This During Our Drive Out.
Fruita is in the western slope region of Colorado, about 10 miles west of Grand Junction, and it is home to some of the best riding in the country. Naturally, it is hard to keep such awesome trails a secret, so as opposed to fighting the visitors, the city of Fruita and local shop Over the Edge sports created the Fat Tire Festival as a way to encourage people to come to the area and have some fun. Along with the spectacular riding, the event is in itself pretty awesome; streets in downtown are closed to traffic for the weekend and taken over by mountain bikers and mountain bike companies.
The Scenery was Good While Riding too; Felt’s Own “Q-ball” Scoping the Colorado River
We set up right at the front of pit-row (prime real estate; we were the envy of all the exhibitors!). Both days of demoing went very well; we managed to have our entire fleet of Edicts, Virtues, and Nines sent out for demo within the first fifteen minutes of being open! As exhibitors at an event like this, it always feels good to have your whole fleet checked out for demos, but the best is when everyone starts trickling back to the festival with huge smiles on their faces. Ride & Believe in full effect!

We also did a bit of riding while in Fruita, and really got to see what everyone was smiling about. Though the Felt demo-fleet handles trails extremely well; you would have to be made of stone to not smile while riding trails like these! With everything from technical rock gardens to fast flowy single track, Fruita really is one of the coolest places to ride in the country.

It is also great meeting everyone who has already chosen Felt for one reason or another. Numerous people shared their stories with us, and we’re always happy to hear them!
If you haven’t made it out there yet, mark your calendar for next year (4/26-4/29 2012). Come ride a Felt Demo bike, Tell us about your Felt, or just come by and chill out at our booth. We’re more than happy to have you! Most of all, come experience some of the rad trails Fruita has to offer for yourself!
