FRONT/REAR TRIANGLE - Radically shaped and oversized main tubes deliver a stable and planted front end. A one-point-five sized headtube not only accommodates the beefy tubing, but is also designed to accept up to 1.5" diameter fork steer tubes, should the need arise for an even burlier, stiffer fork specification. The unique machined yoke in the seat tube performs three important tasks: First, it moves the upper portion of the seat tube forward and away from the rear wheel, avoiding tire contact in the depths of the travel; Second, it ensures the front derailleur is correctly positioned, for optimized shifting performance; And third, it provides the longest straight section of seat tube possible, for maximum post insertion. Inboard mounted rear brake calipers lessen the effects of un-sprung weight on the rear suspension and tuck the calipers out of harms way. Brake induced suspension compression/extension (brake-jack) is further reduced as a result of mounting the brake to the more horizontal and beefier chainstay, rather than a traditional seatstay mount. Put it all together with the stout, precision-engineered linkage & pivots, and we have ourselves a chassis that transfers the rider's efforts into maximum driven power at the rear wheel.

SHOCKS - Like all frames utilizing Equilink technology, the Redemption was designed to accept any brand of shock, around conventional shock lengths, without requiring specific internal factory settings. The Equilink suspension system was designed to offer the utmost in efficiency without requiring platform-valved shocks to mask design deficiencies (suspension-induced bobbing). However, if riders want to experiment with the different feel platform shocks can offer, the choice is theirs. At Felt, we believe that shock specification and tune-ability should be a choice - not a requirement.

LINKS & PIVOTS - Sealed cartridge bearings at every pivot point and dual bearings at each drop-out pivot ensure a stiff, yet compliant ride that will endure whatever the elements can throw at them.
