Whitmore wins 2015 Para-Cycling Road & TT World Championships; Reed takes Ironman 70.3 Philippines!

Jamie Whitmore (@gutzytrigirl) likely had more World Championship titles than most anybody prior to this weekend and at the 2015 Para-Cycling Road World Championships added two more to her quiver. Jamie, a former XTERRA World Champion and owner of seven other Para World titles on the road and track prior to the 2015 Worlds, won no.’s 9 and 10 in taking the C3 titles in both the TT and Road events in Nottwil, Switzerland. The cancer survivor and long-time athlete was quick to site on Twitter, “I couldn’t do it without the fastest bikes on the planet! Every 1 has been on a Felt!” We are humbled and have never been prouder–congrat’s, Jamie!!

Meanwhile, halfway across the world Tim Reed (@timboreed) continued to have his best season ever and he took a very exciting Ironman 70.3 Philippines which went literally down to the wire. After exiting the water within just over a minute of the rest of the top-10 men, Tim mashed out a 2:03.21 bike ride, 3rd fastest of the day and within 6 seconds of the top-2 times of Tim Van Berkel and Brent McMahon. After gapping McMahon, it turned into a tooth-and-nail run with Tim just out-kicking Berkel to take the win. It was a super effort and finish which comes at a very exciting time in the Reed family’s lives as they recently celebrated the birth of their new son. Double congratulations, Tim!!
